Birthday FAQ

Question: Is there a cost for adults/parents to attend the party?
Answer: Yes. Parents are charged as guests of the party. They will receive refreshments just like the kiddies and, if they want, a prize bag as well.

Question: What kind of decorations do you have?
Answer: We have a lovely patio that will be decorated in a ComedySportz theme with balloons and festive gift bags.


Question: What kind of cakes do you have? Can I bring my own?
Answer: We offer Coconut Whiteout Cake, Lemon Cake, Snickers Bar Cake, Oreo Cheesecake and Strawberry Cheesecake. Our cakes are beautiful, with ample pre-cut slices. There are no names on the cakes, but there are plenty of candles. Ingredient lists are available on request.
You can bring your own cake, but the $19 charge per person still applies.

Question: Do you have ice cream?
Answer: Yes! We have Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough,
Vanilla, Cherry Garcia and Fudge Brownie. Ice cream is $3 each and come
in individual servings so everyone can pick exactly what they want!

Question: What’s in the favor bags?
Answer: Prize bags vary slightly from party to party, but they usually include a pennant, temporary tattoos, candy, comedy and sports themed toys and a free ticket to come back!

Question: How do I get invitations?
Answer: You can print them out by clicking here!

Question: May I bring a piñata?
Answer: For safety reasons, we ask that you leave your piñatas at home.

Question: Can we bring crying babies, animals or drum sets to the show?
Answer: No to the animals. No to the drum sets. It is a theatre performance, so we ask that you not bring children under 5. It will make everyone happier.

Question: Can I bring outside food or drinks?
Answer: We do not allow outside food or drinks at our theatre, but we will do our best to accommodate you; just let us know what you need.

Question: Can I take photos?
Answer: Yes. During our show, we ask that you be discreet and take them from your seat. After the show, the performers will be happy to pose with your kids.

Question: Can we bring presents to open at the party?
Answer: Yes. Your host will collect them in the lobby and have them waiting for you at your party after the show.

Question: Can you videotape the show for us?
Answer: Yes. We will take care of the taping and provide you with a tape for $20, but this must be arranged in advance.

Question: Can kids be dropped off at the theatre/party?
Answer: Parties must be appropriately chaperoned. If guests are dropped off, the host parents must be there to greet them and must remain until the last child leaves.

Question: What if it rains?
Answer: If it rains, we’ll improvise! We will do our best to move your party inside the theatre or into our studio theatre. Weather is not a reason for cancellation.

Question: When do I pay? Will my credit card me charged? What if my guest-count changes?
Answer: When you make your reservation we will ask you for a minimum guest count. You can add to that amount, space permitting, up until the Thursday before your party, when your card will be charged. After that Thursday you can add to the guest count (again, space permitting), however we cannot guarantee that extra guests will receive the cake, soda and prize bag combo. Your card will be charged after the event for any guests added after the Thursday deadline. If the birthday extras are not available for the added guests, you will be charged only for their admission to the show.
At no time is subtracting from your guest count allowed, and you will be charged for guests that don’t show up; therefore, we strongly urge you to make reservations only for those people you’re certain will come.

Question: How do I change the time and/or date of the party?
Answer: The day and time of the show cannot be changed (matinee show time is Saturday at 3pm) but if you need to change the week of your party, just give the ComedySportz office a call and we’ll work it out.
