Originally built as a luxury hotel in 1927, the Flintridge Biltmore Hotel was first managed by Senator Frank P. Flint. The hotel was sold in 1931 to become the school and has been administered ever since by the Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose. This historical building won several awards for architecture and is perched on top of the hills with views overlooking beautiful La Canada on one side and Pasadena and the Rose Bowl on the other. Most sleeping rooms are triple-occupancy with two twin beds and one Aerobed. The rooms are spacious and come furnished with dressers, desks and fans. Each room also has its own private bathroom with tub and shower, and walk-in closets. Students will also have access to an exercise room with state-of-the-art workout equipment, plus access to ping pong, air hockey, foosball, a pool table and pianos. Three meals a day are served in the dining room. Each meal is the chef’s selection with a vegetarian option, and a late-night snack is offered each day. ComedySportz will be the only group on campus and will have private use of the facilities including the classrooms, dance studio, auditorium and amphitheatre. The softball field and soccer field offer a breathtaking view of the mountains and valley below. There are also plenty of quiet retreats tucked away near fountains, patios and trees. You'll probably see a deer or two while you're there. We will once again be able to offer a week of camp in August! This will allow students who participate in summer school to still be able to join in the fun of camp. FSHA's suburban, hilltop location isolates the campus and its guests from excessive traffic and passers-by, creating a safe and secure environment. The resident staff and FSHA's security guards provide 24-hour supervision for the residents and guests. FSHA is also home to one of the original ComedySportz High School League teams, and is excited to host students in this activity.
