It's just not. There are no canoes. There are no cabins. We don't have American Indian names (unless you were given one at birth). We have showers. People cook for us. We might make something out of macaroni, but it's doubtful.
Who can come: students who have completed their freshman year of high school, up through students who have completed a year of college. (We also welcome adults who work with those students!)
Here's what we are: the best camp for improv training if you're a high school student or an educator who works with theatre students. You're going to laugh a lot. Not a little -- a lot. You'll walk away with skills that will benefit you your entire life: trust, confidence, creative problem solving, teamwork, focus and the ability to turn challenges into gold. Simply, improv skills are essential for any actor, but also for anyone who wants to succeed.
All workshops are taught by professionals from ComedySportz Los Angeles, the longest running show in the city. Evenings are filled with different live shows every night, and there's plenty of time for swimming, soccer, softball, dodgeball, classic comedy films, and maybe even macaroni art.
Past workshops have included: improv games, dramatic improv, musical improv, styles and genres, Shakespearean improv, stage combat, commercial auditioning, puppeteering and more!
Be sure to check out the scholarships available which can lower your fee as much as $100. You can also get discounts for early registration and/or for bringing along some friends from your school. Educators willing to assist our counselors can also attend at a lower rate.
It's the opportunity of a lifetime. Don't miss out. We might make macaroni hats...

Where:
Both sessions are at: Biola University, La Mirada, CA (near the 5 freeway, on the border of LA and Orange Counties)
Biola University
Biola University has been a long-time supporter of ComedySportz; however, as always, our camp has no religious affiliation of any
kind.
Biola
is a small, private university with a rich heritage. Campers will stay
on private floors in a student dormitory.
Dormitories are fully air conditioned and offer double and triple
occupancy. Each room is furnished with dressers and desks. Each floor
has group bathrooms. Each floor is divided by gender.
The campus is quiet and peaceful with immaculately clean grounds and full-time security.
Cost:
We know everyone is feeling the effects of the economy, so we're pleased to tell you that the cost of our camps have not gone up. They're exactly the same as they were in 2009. (Individual fee = $560.) And we still have some great discounts:
• Camper pays the smaller "Team Fee" if attending camp with 3 or more students from her/his school.
• Educators who are willing to lend some assistance pay less.
•Scholarships are available; click the "Camp Scholarship Info" link at the top of this page to find the application form.
• There is an additional $25-to-30 early bird discount for Individual and Team registrations made on or before May 1, 2013.
