Making Posts

This is a sample post. If you want to reply to it, you simply hit "reply."

Sometimes you might want to hit "quote" instead of reply. This will include a copy of the post you're replying to in you response. That way, if there are many posts, people will know what you're replying to. Look at next replies to see an example.

This reply quotes the first post. All I did was hit "quote" instead of reply.

When in reply mode, I can use the buttons at the top to make the text bold, italic or underlined. All you have to do is highlight the text you want to affect and then click the appropriate button. The forum will drop in code to make it happen.

I can also change the size by using the "Font Size" drop down menu.

If I want color, I just highlight the text and click the color boxes to the right.

You can add "emoticons" or little faces, by clicking on the "Smilies" image to the left:

:) ;) :( :o ??? :-[ :D O0

In order to post a photo, it must already live on line somewhere, either on another webpage or somewhere like Photobucket or Flickr. I can add a photo by clicking the "Img" buttton. This will drop in code like this: . I then drop in the code of the photo between the two brackets. For example, if the url for the photo image is:

http://www.cszla.dreamhosters.com/asset ... 20shot.jpg

I drop it between the two brackets and it appears:

If you want to be notified when someone to replies to a post you made, simply check the appropriate button when you make the post. After the message window, you will see an option section. Check "Notify me when a reply is posted."
