A group from Mesa Robles Middle School held a private event at our theatre on 2-27-07. Here's Courtney, jammin' with the blue team.
And here's Gary, making funny noises (we asked him to do it)
And here are (from left) Sarah, Phoebe and Bianca, listening to their instructions....
...before wreaking havoc upon the red team.
During our special Valentines Day Battle of the Sexes on 2-14-07, we had help from audience volunteers Omar, who helped arrange the players' bodies artistically...
..and Jiali, who helped the room become very smiley...
..and Danny, who, appropriately enough, helped out in the game "Casanova."
In the 8 pm show on 2-16-07, Chris behaved remarkably like Omar, two nights earlier...
....and Jon and Sarah sat on the Stools of Royalty while the red team serenaded them. |
In the late show on 2-17-07, Lewis pulled double duty, volunteering for both "Moving Bodies" and the hair-raising "Free-for-all Freeze." |
In the early show on 1-19-07, volunteer Sarah seemed to bond
well with our players. |
In the same show, volunteer Matt mastered the art of sound
effects... |
...and Brittany had a birthday party (we're not sure which
one's Brittany, but they all seemed pretty happy)... |
...and these six adventurers came to ComedySportz on a triple date! We were so excited we wanted a photo of them. Hope it was good
for them too.
On 12-27-06, Annalisa wisely brought her bachelorette party
to our show. Here's the bride-to-be, radiantly joining the blue team
for "Pick-a-play"... |
..and here's Annalisa's whole party, hangin' with the CSz folks. |
Another radiant volunteer that same night was this woman, celebrating her birthday with us. If only we'd sung "Happy Birthday To You," we might remember her name. Hey, if this is you, write us and
tell us your name!
On 12-29-06, Robin did an excellent job of making sound effects
We had a blast at the early show on New Year's Eve, thanks in part to volunteer Dave, shown smiling with some festive balloons...
...and volunteer Carl, shown puzzling over the actions of the
players. |
Our traditional New Year's Eve late show featured volunteers like Cecily, here telling the players what to do..
..and Brian, here enjoying the same players as they exhaust themselves following Cecily's directions...
...and Jenny, who bravely took part in the
never-before-attempted combo game "Dimestore Novel/Family Dinner."
The new year started off right: at the 8:00 show on 1-5-07, a bright young lady named Kate joined the blue team for "Spelling Bee." |
We also got help from Meg, pictured here standing in the Box of Truth while the ref determines her Honesty Quotient. Meg passed with
flying colors.
..Steve volunteered in the same show. He was camera-shy and we
had to have two of our brawniest male players hold him still on the
sidewalk afterward
In what we think is a first for us, the U-sical on 1-5-07 was all about a daughter/father team--in this case Diana and Ned. As you can see, the evening wasn't merely tuneful and hilarious, but touching as well.
At the 8:00 show on 1-6-07, a brand new game was invented with the help of two very literary volunteers: Cory (whose husband
proposed to her during a CSz show back in the days when we were at the
Tamarind Theatre)...
..and Person Whose Name We've Lost #2. Anybody?.
This adorable gal is Amy; she gave very good advice in the 8:00 show on 1-12-07.
In the same show, Justin realized a lifelong dream when the entire cast competed to romance him with the best pickup line.
The U-sical on 1-12-07 concerned Megan, who once had a
relationship with a boyfriend ruined by an evil car salesman. It
doesn't sound like a fun story, but just look at her!
The 8 pm show on 12-16-06 had loads of help from many attractive volunteers. This is Steven, who brought his whole birthday party to our show and did extremely well, despite being simply a
floating head...
..and this is someone who would only identify himself as "H-man," who also did a really good job...
...and this is Michelle. She did an excellent job of looking like a James Bond girl.
Way back on 11-10-06, the blue team got help from two young women celebrating their birthdays. We can only remember that this one has a beautiful smile. Hey, if that's you with the smile, send us an e-mail and remind us who you are!
