WEATHER
The weather in Los Angeles in August is most always gorgeous. It almost never rains from April to October, so the only thing that can get in the way is smog! Temperatures usually range from mid 70’s to mid 80’s during the day. LA is in a desert climate, and at night, it most always cools down and can drop as much at 25 degrees. It is rarely humid. We also have few flies and no mosquitos! Lucky or what? That’s why God cursed us with the most horrible traffic on the planet.
DRESS
Casual attire is appropriate for the tournament. You should bring something other than jeans if you plan to go to the Magic Castle or go clubbing or to a nicer dinner — besides, it’s fun! You should definitely bring a light jacket for the evening. Even when it is quite warm during the day, it can get very cool at night.
